A Trip To The City Hall.

Got my NBI clearance, cedula and police clearance a while ago at Mandaluyong city hall. These are one of the requirements when getting a job. And since Peejay and I are just one jeep away from each other, she decided to accompany me in getting those requirements. We met around 7am.

So there, Pj e-mailed me the steps (since she already got hers before and had a summer job as a barista in Starbucks) on how to get the requirements because she was not sure if she can accompany me today. Luckily, she was able to go with me :)

Am 100% Protected

Young women in their teens and 20s are more vulnerable to HPV, the virus that causes cervical cancer, because their bodies are still developing. So my mom decided for us to have a vaccine which we take every _ months. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

I’ve now completed my anti-cervical cancer vaccine together with my sisters and mom :)

My Sister’s Wedding

  • October 15, 2005
  • Santuario De San Antonio Parish Forbes Park, Makati City
  • Reception: Manila Peninsula, Makati

My beautiful sister.

Thank you so much Mr. Rajo Laurel for designing our dresses as well as taking care of the whole entorouge.

Photographer: “Okay now, give me a fake candid shot!”

I got teary-eyed when I saw my eldest sister walked in that door.

My sisters struggling to fix the wedding trail.

And they lived happily ever after :)

Too bad some officers weren’t able to come.

Thanks Kuya Tony (one of the school’s shuttle driver) for driving us to the place. It was a 3-hour journey since it is located at the end of Antipolo near Montalban Rizal.

Our sleeping area inside the Kubo.

So we had lots of races and obstacles:

The “Ski” thingy.

The Rope thingy.

The Log thingy. I can’t believe I fell in that DIRTY water because a SPIDER, which is one of my greatest fear, is blocking my way. Panicked a lot.

The Hanging Bridge thingy.

The Swing thingy.

The Net thingy.

The try-not-to-touch-yourself-at-the-rope-when-passing thingy. (Sorry guys for being so heavy)

Mud Crawling.

Rappelling (My ONLY favorite among all the obstacles)

And the Mud Slide / Mud Pool.

After all the obstacles, we had an inspirational talk with Ms. Crystal Calinawan.

*I had fun and learned a lot from this team building. Because of this, me and my co-officers were able to establish relationship among each other which/that will help us ____ for the upcoming school activities.

BUMMER PRINCESS

Yeah so my awesome sister secretly took a picture of me sleeping while downloading something. This is what happens after graduating—a BUM. I always spend almost the entire day on the internet. Such a bummer. Officially unemployed! :)))

Last March of ‘09, our block danced Shaggy at the Sports Complex. Each block in our batch had different dance themes like Tango, Cha Cha, Line Square Dance etc.

My gesture for that day: Peace sign ☮

A day with Enzo.

Went to Vets In Practice with @pjcarlota a while ago for Enzo’s grooming and check-up. It is only located near our homes (Mandaluyong) that’s why we are not in a hassle.

“At Vets in Practice, we know that your pet deserves the finest in health care. That is why we have carefully selected a diverse staff of foreign and locally-trained veterinarians and technicians, each with special interests and education in animal medicine and surgery. Teamwork, combined with state of the art facilities that allow us to provide preventive pet care as well as handle even the most complicated cases, make us singularly unique in our profession. And since we are all pet owners ourselves, when you bring your pets to Vets In Practice, you can be sure that they are getting the highest level of care, dedication and compassion we would be giving our own.”

Poor poodle :(

*Just watch the entire 6-minute trailer. The scene which made me cry starts at 3:50 onwards.  I’d never seen a trailer that can make me cry.

A TEAR-JERKER MOVIE.

Watched the movie Hachiko on HBO with my mom and sister. A very sad and touching story. It’s based on a true story about loyalty and friendship of a dog to his master.

Just seeing Hachi looking out for his owner at the train station when he is not coming back breaks my heart. It’s weird that I cried watching how Hachi kept waiting for the deceased prof. but didn’t cry because the prof. died.

The Japanese were so moved by the dog’s devotion to his owner that they built a statue of him and put it by the station where Hachiko waited everyday.

During Hachiko’s death anniversary.

Hachiko’s dog collar. Hachi’s legendary faithfulness became Japan’s national symbol of loyalty.

Ugh. I don’t think I can watch that movie again.

Christmas ‘10 and New Year ‘11

My family and I always make the long drive up to celebrate Christmas in Cavite (my grandparent’s house). Ever since my eldest sister had her own family, we of course visit them in their house at Mahogany Place in Taguig.

On the other hand, unlike other families, our family just stays at home to celebrate New Year. When the clock strikes at 12am, we open ALL our lights and doors to let out all the bad luck from the previous year as well as invite good fortune.

These were the firecrackers my mom bought for this year.

Bon appetit!

Currently addicted to these…

When I got nothing to do, the top 3 games that I usually play are Angry Birds, Cut the Rope and Fruit Ninja. In Angry Birds, players take control of a flock of birds that are attempting to get the eggs that have been stolen by the evil green pigs. On each level, the pigs are sheltered by structures made of various materials such as wood, ice and stone. By using a slingshot, players should eliminate ALL the pigs in each level. :)

Right now, I am soooo frustrated because I couldn’t eliminate all the green oink oinks in this level and I already tried like 10 times! Anyway..

In Cut the Rope, your goal is to maneuver the candy into the mouth of Om Nom and to pick up at least 3 stars per level by touching it with the candy.

Fruit Ninja is just plain easy. All you have to do is to slice the fruit that is thrown up from the bottom of the screen avoiding the bombs that are mixed in. At first, I thought it was boring but once you started playing it, you can’t help not to stop :)) You can choose from 3 different modes: Classic, Arcade and Zen mode.

Emma’s 1st birthday party.

Today, I attended the birthday celebration of my sister’s first daughter, Emma Sofia. The theme of the party was “Mickey’s Clubhouse” which was held at Rockwell Club. A lot of kids enjoyed since there were lots of games and surprises in store for them as well as yummy food.
